One hundred eyes, all-seeing, with each piercing blue eye locked in a different direction. The many eyes of Hera’s watchman, Argus, were tasked first to guard the nymph Io in bovine form. Now, immortalised here in stone and gold, they provide the wearer with eternal protection from evil, accented by a single golden tear.
